We are not simply product designers, we are an FDA & ISO Registered Product Design, Development, and Manufacturing facility.  Most of the companies that visit our facilities have previously worked with or contracted a Prototype House or a Design Company to help develop their idea into a prototype.  Unfortunately, these companies do not have the manufacturing expertise or more importantly, an actual facility to manufacture the product after they design it.  In every occasion these potential clients are tired, frustrated, and very upset about the money they spent on a prototype that is not manufacturable, reproducible, reliable, durable, or cost-effective.  In other words, the product may look good, but it either can not be manufactured correctly or the way it was designed does not allow for the product to be manufactured cost-effectively.  So, they have to start all over again.  The other huge issue that occurs is after the product is designed, the customers are referred to a manufacturer by the design “prototype” company or they state that they can provide you with a price, which is actually marked up because of the extra layer in the sales cycle.  Most of these manufacturing companies are located in China, but the client is not aware that their product can be made right here in the USA for almost the same price as the landed cost of the product being manufactured in China.  Especially if the facility has the capabilities to not only design the product but manufacture, package, ship, and even help market and sell the product from one location.  Another hurdle that these clients encounter occurs when they contract one of these companies to manufacture their product.  Since the design company did not actually manufacture the product and the manufacturer did not design the product, they begin to blame each other for why your product can not be made or why it costs so much money to make your product.  But, the biggest complaint we receive is about all the time these entrepreneurs or companies spend trying to manage all these issues and how they directly impact the amount of time they can actually spend on what they need to do, and that is to Market and Sell their product.  These are only a few of the many issues that most of the clients that visit our facility encounter in their process to develop their products and launch a successful company.
