WESTON, Nov. 14, 2018 — We officially launched our new website today.  Do you LOVE our branding?  We receive so many compliments about our branding, website, logo, and other promotional material.  Well guess what? All of it is created in-house by our Creative Team.  We are truly the only Total Solution Facility in South Florida.  We are FDA & ISO Registered.  We perform all product design, product development, engineering, and manufacturing processes in-house.  We never outsource our services.

There’s no need to spend all of your time trying to manage all the resources that revolve around your product.  There is nothing we can’t do and haven’t done before.  And, to top it off, we pride ourselves in doing everything within our power to HELP YOU SUCCEED!  Just read our reviews.

POM Energy appointed to REEEAC

MIAMI, Nov. 8, 2018 /U.S. Dept. of Commerce/ — Nikao is proud to announce that our partner Mr. Peter Chiaravalle, POM Energy Concepts has been appointed to the Department’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee (REEEAC)

Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced the appointment of 39 members to the Department’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee (REEEAC). Initially established in 2010, and most recently renewed in June 2018, the REEEAC is composed of senior private sector representatives that provide advice to the Secretary of Commerce on the development and administration of programs and policies to expand the export competitiveness of U.S. renewable energy and energy efficiency products and services. “It is essential for the United States to remain a global leader in the innovation, commercialization, and production of diverse technologies,” said Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross. “The foreign competitive challenges confronting American companies are immense, and the recommendations of the REEEAC will be critical in our continued efforts to ensure global markets are free, fair, and reciprocal.”

Since 2010, the REEEAC has provided 56 recommendations to address a wide range of issues, from the creation of market conditions necessary for developing a strong manufacturing base to the closure of critical gaps in export financing.

Neural-Enabled Prosthetic Hand Restores Sensation.

MIAMI, Nov. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Years after his hand was amputated in a traumatic accident, a hand amputee can “feel” again, thanks to technology FIU engineers have developed along with Nikao Inc, Cochlear Inc, and NIH.  That person – the first person with a hand amputation who has been fitted with a neural-enabled prosthetic hand (NEPH) system that has a fully implanted, wirelessly controlled neurostimulator – has been using it at home for almost four months. The results are promising to researchers who hope to restore “feeling” to people with upper limb amputation.  “Recouping the ability to feel objects again is like having my hand back, which is something I never thought possible. It’s an absolute gamechanger for me,” said Jason Little, the hand amputee.

The NEPH system, was developed at Florida International University by Ranu Jung and her Adaptive Neural Systems Laboratory team, along with Nikao Inc, Cochlear Inc, and NIH.

Nikao achieves ISO 13485:2016 certification

WESTON, Jul. 10, 2018 — Nikao, Inc., a privately-held company providing medical and non-medical product design, development and manufacturing solutions announces that its Headquarters in Weston, FL has received ISO 13485:2016 certification for it’s entire facility following review by the SGS.  SGS is the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.  Our certification applies to design, development, manufacturing and distribution of medical and non-medical products.  This certifications also applies to our Research & Development Center, PCB Manufacturing, and CNC Machining Facilities.

ISO 13485:2016 is an internationally recognized quality standard specific to the medical device industry. ISO 13485:2016 demonstrates Nikao’s ongoing commitment to the highest level of quality and to meeting our customer’s and international regulatory expectations.  This certification is awarded for quality management systems in medical devices and adds to Nikao’s already existing cGMP, CE, and MDD (OBL) certifications.
