The Aquarius Phantom is made of standard acrylic and is intended to represent the human brain based on the similar properties between soft tissue and brain matter with that of the acrylic composition of the phantom. There are also four chambers that run along its length. These chambers are filled with copper sulfate solution to mimic the proton density of human blood so as to correctly represent an intracranial MR image of an SRS patient.
